About the role
The Role:
In a Health Profession College setting, the Deputy Registrar supports the Registrar in regulatory governance in upholding the College mandate to protect the health and wellness of the public.
While ensuring compliance with the Act, Regulations, Bylaws, Standards of practice, Code of Ethics, and Policy manual; the Deputy Registrar will assist in (but not limited to):
Responsibilities:
· Administering to the registration, licensure, renewal, and maintenance of the Provider Register(s).
· Validate and evaluate submissions and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Data entry - Utilizing office software, data management systems and IT tools for maintaining records and processing information accurately, while prioritizing confidentiality.
· Serve as the primary contact for registrants, applicants, government, and the public when the Registrar is absent.
· Support Council function, including meeting preparation, collaboration, documentation or action items.
· Support staff and committees as required.
Qualities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with the Registrants and the public effectively.
· Strong organizational abilities -essential for managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
· Strong analytical thinking skills are beneficial to this role.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Work Environment:
· The Deputy Registrar position is hybrid with flexibility to work from home; specified times will be required in office.
Hours:
· Hours 10-15 hours per week average, Additional hours are available in December and January (Renewal) if mutually agreed upon.
Compensation:
· $30+/hour to commensurate with experience.
