Summary: The food and beverage supervisor – banquets is responsible for assisting the banquet in the daily operations of our banquet events. This individual is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.
The salary range for this position is $55,000–$61,000 annually. Compensation within the range is based on job-related skills, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
- Motivate and lead through teamwork.
- Supervise and coordinate assigned shift.
- Assist in overall supervision of the department.
- Complete Moments of Service checklist for banquets.
- Spot check liquor pars.
- Order daily supplies.
- Hold pre-shift meetings.
- Follow up on established training steps.
- Monitor and take corrective actions from guest comments on Medallia.
- Stay on the floor during peak hours.
- Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
- Observe, teach and correct associate’s service.
- Monitor each guest experience.
- Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
- Maintain condition of the meeting rooms.
- Assist manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, expenses and forecasting both weekly and monthly
- Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
- Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
- Responsible for a high standard of sanitation throughout the food and beverage areas.
- Responsible for storage, requisitioning of all materials and equipment
- Take and calculate material stock (inventory) as required.
- Report all breakages, cleaning supply consumption, etc.
- Maintain all equipment to a high standard, i.e.: dishwashers, burnishers, etc., and reporting to maintenance any defects.
- Must adhere to Smart Serve.
- Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role is preferred
- Banquet experience is an asset
- Must have the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
- Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills
- Must be able to work all the hours required to fulfill the demands of the position
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Hotel Management degree or diploma an asset
- Must have Smart Serve and Food Handler's Certificate
