Our internal Artificial Intelligence practice is growing, and we are looking for an AI Solution Architect (Intermediate) to contribute to the design and delivery of pragmatic, scalable AI solutions for our clients.

This role is ideal for a technically solid professional who already has hands-on AI experience and is now transitioning toward solution design, architecture thinking, and client-facing responsibilities, while continuing to deepen expertise in modern AI technologies, including Generative AI.

You will work closely with senior architects, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective AI-enabled solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of AI and Generative AI solution architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and developers to support end-to-end AI solution delivery.
• Participate in the selection and integration of AI and ML tools, platforms, and services.
• Support deployment of AI solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Assist in the implementation of basic MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, deployment pipelines).
• Contribute to Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technical feasibility assessments.
• Support integration of Generative AI use cases (e.g., LLM-based assistants, document processing, automation).
• Apply responsible AI principles and security best practices under guidance of senior architects.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the AI practice.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 4–6 years of experience in software, data, or AI-related roles.

• Practical experience with AI / machine learning solutions, including exposure to Generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt design, embeddings, APIs).

• Good knowledge of Python and common ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Basic understanding of data pipelines and integration patterns.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand business requirements.

• Bilingual (French and English).

Nice to Have

• Initial experience with cloud AI services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).

• Exposure to MLOps tools (MLflow, CI/CD pipelines).

• Experience in consulting or client-facing environments.

• Agile project experience

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.
