Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer of Canadian Personal Banking Technology, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving critical technology solutions across Banking, Wealth, Insurance, and Corporate (HR and IT) Contact Centres and ATMs. The position leads high-impact projects such as Contact Center Transformation with CCaaS AI-enabled products, enterprise-wide ATM Software Upgrades, and major initiatives in Customer Assistance/Collections AI and digital enablement. With a focus on advancing the capability roadmap, this leader ensures exemplary solution design and disciplined technical execution, oversees resolution of complex technology issues, continuously evaluates operational processes, and orchestrates alignment among executive stakeholders—delivering transformative results that shape the future of the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Serve as the primary technology liaison for business stakeholders, including the EVP of North American Customer Operations. Build strong partnerships to influence decisions, secure alignment, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Strategic Technology Leadership
Define and own the technology strategy for the NACO platform, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and enterprise architecture standards. Serve as the ultimate decision-maker for technology direction and priorities.

End-to-End Solution Ownership
Lead the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive technology solutions and services across the platform. Oversee all phases of solution lifecycle—from conceptualization to deployment—ensuring scalability, resilience, and business value.

Technology Governance & Issue Resolution
Establish and manage robust processes for technology issue escalation and resolution. Act as the single point of accountability for resolving critical technology challenges and mitigating risks.

Vision, Roadmap & Architecture
Own the technology vision and roadmap for the platform, ensuring clarity of technical definition and architectural integrity. Drive adoption of modern technologies and practices to future-proof the platform.

Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Tech Leads to communicate technology decisions effectively, foster transparency, and ensure consistent execution across teams. Champion alignment with the Target Operating Model (TOM) and enterprise technology standards.

Optimization & Value Realization
Apply deep expertise in delivery optimization to streamline processes, accelerate time-to-market, and maximize business value. Continuously identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency

Experience and/or Education

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • 15+ preferred years of development and technology delivery experience with Agile Delivery Experience preferred
  • Ability to plan, share and implement winning technology strategies
  • Ability to manage a functional technology group, ensuring superior quality of product and risk management practices
  • Business, financial and technical acumen
  • Driven to succeed and innovate
  • Excellent relationship management skills, effectively supporting multiple complex relationships
  • Effective coach and collaborator
