ACCOUNTABLE TO: Early Learning and Child Care Manager/Director of Early Learning and Child Care

Brief Overview

The prime objective of the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Program Support is to assist the ELCC Community Enrichment Grant Coordinator to ensure supports are delivered in an efficient and timely manner while performing these job duties:

Administrating client services and program delivery for the Community Enrichment Grant including supporting Locals with program navigation and implementation. Taking part in eligibility reviews to ensure all decisions align with MN-S policies, program guidelines, and eligibility criteria. Provide overall operational/administrative administration of the programs. Coordinate project initiatives. Collaboratively work with MN–S staff, MN–S Citizens, and MN–S contractors as required.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Coordinator with reviewing Local grant applications ensuring decisions align with MN-S policies, program guidelines and eligibility criteria. Assist with new program development, implementation, coordination. Evaluate and regularly review current programs. Foster teamwork and co-operation. Use office software and hardware to communicate and collaborate with Métis Locals, Citizens, MN–S staff, and ELCC partners. Assist in the coordination of the processing of financial administrative and operational procedures (i.e., purchase orders, expense claims, bill back submissions, and purchase card reconciliation) Participate in presentations about the various projects and the MN–S to key stakeholders at conferences, workshops, and in communities when directed. Gather project statistics as directed, establish, and maintain spreadsheets. Outreach and build relationships with stakeholders as required. Engage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with partners, including ELCC clients. Promote Métis culture. Maintain an effective, confidential, and accountable filing system. Some travel throughout the province and extended hours of work may be required. Fulfill all other responsibilities as determined by the Manager of Early Learning and Childcare.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Well-developed administrative, analytical, time management, and organizational skills Knowledge of program administration, budgeting/financial management, program planning, and coordinating. Experience in Early Childhood Education, childcare licensing, ministry documents, and policies involving Early Childhood Education would be an asset. Results-oriented skills and practices. Ability to work with a high level of tact and discretion. Strong knowledge and application of keyboarding, Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, and various databases. Strong knowledge of case management in a social services setting would be an asset. Experience with standard office equipment. Ability to identify problems and situations and take appropriate action. Work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment. Ability to travel, at times in a rental vehicle, may be required. Ability to work flexible hours when required. A high degree of technology literacy and proficiency in standard office equipment. Advanced communications skills. Highly detail oriented. Ability to problem-solve, demonstrate good judgement, and make decisions independently within set processes and procedures. Experience working with Métis clients would be an asset.

Qualifications And Experience

Office Administration education and experience working in a social services environment or an administrative role within an Early Childhood Program. Experience in case management, budgeting, program delivery, and reporting, preferably in a non-profit setting would be an asset. Social services/client service supports experience would be an asset.

Additional Requirements

The work involves frequent use of a computer and a telephone, attention to detail, and concentrating on sometimes complex problems and information. Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Please submit your application by July 12, 2026.
