With nearly 500 workers across locations in Peterborough, Toronto, and Arnprior, BWXT NEC supplies nuclear fuel and fuel channel components, services, equipment and parts for the CANDU® nuclear power industry.
CNC Set UP
We are currently seeking a CNC Set Up for our Arnprior team. Must be willing to travel to Brampton site for the first 4-5 weeks.
Specific responsibilities and accountabilities include:

Study drawings to plan sequences of steps for maximum efficiency.

Set-up using a wide range of tools and performs setups on CNC lathes involving very close tolerances.

Completion of shop documentation as required.
-
Follows all company policies and attendance guidelines.

Other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must have a minimum of Grade 12 education.
-
5-10 years’ experience in high tolerance machining environment.

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
-
Able to work 8 hour rotating shifts.

Ability to program and operate CAD/CAM systems (Mastercam)
-
Comprehensive knowledge of CNC code (Fanuc controllers)
-
Understand technical terminology and developments
Selected applicants will be tested and interviewed.
The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between Hourly Pay Range: $38.18 -$42.42. However, the base range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
