We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Account Manager to join our core team in Calgary. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts across geoLOGIC’s broader solution offerings. This includes nurturing client relationships, understanding their evolving needs, and driving growth through whitespace management and identifying net‑new sales opportunities. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will navigate complex sales cycles, apply critical thinking, understand energy market dynamics, and build strong knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and offerings. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, brings a solution‑oriented approach, and demonstrates a high level of drive and professionalism.
The primary focus of the Account Manager is on new sales and account development. This includes the proactive pursuit of net‑new business while also expanding and strengthening an existing customer base across assigned accounts.
You will report to our Sales Manager based in Calgary and collaborate closely with our Subject Matter Experts, Solutions team, Marketing, and other Sales team members as part of our broader goal of exceeding revenue targets.
How will you spend your day?
- Drive success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas.
- Develop and execute effective and targeted account plans to ensure revenue delivery and sustainable growth.
- Establish and build strong relationships with C-suite, VPs and Senior management in E&P, Midstream, Finance, Oilfield Service and other Energy sector companies.
- Accurately forecast sales activity and track revenue achievements.
- Sell complex technology solutions into a variety of technical teams and business executives.
- Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships.
- Log sales activities into Salesforce CRM system.
- Professionally represent geoLOGIC in presentations, briefings, and trade events.
- Collaborate and be a team player with all internal pre/post sale resources.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of geoLOGICs value, differentiators, and the competitive landscape.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of sales experience preferably selling complex software, SaaS, and/or data solutions to mid and large sized enterprises
- Measurable track record of new business development and consistently exceeding sales quota.
- Proven ability in managing and growing a $1M+ ARR territory.
- Experience in a team selling environment leveraging internal subject matter experts.
- Ability to understand and explain technical products and services.
- Demonstrated success maintaining momentum with long sales cycles involving multiple technical stakeholders across multiple business units.
- Experience with target account selling, solution selling and/or consultative sales techniques; Knowledge of Brooks IMPACT Selling techniques a plus.
- Proficient with Salesforce (or similar CRM), and Microsoft Office products.
- High standard of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
- Strong collaborator and team player in a small team environment; a desire to contribute towards common goals.
- Knowledge of geoLOGIC and competitor products is considered an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an international team and client base.
- Excellent presentation skills and professional demeanor.
- Pro-active team player and self-starter with the ability to drive decisions and consensus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
