About the role
Buffalo Catering Employees LP is currently seeking interested candidates to fill a vacant Maintenance Worker position. Being an integral part of the team, the incumbent is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair duties. Reporting to the designated Supervisor, the successful candidate will work 20 days on and 10 days off rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Assist with the monthly building maintenance safety compliance.
- Light building maintenance which includes: changing light bulbs, furnace and electrical/mechanical room cleaning, room checks for basic maintenance inspections, washroom maintenance, programming TV and remote controls, clean the boot boys, etc.
- Repairs doors, door locks and closets; install window blinds.
- Clean and/or replace air exchanger filters on a regular basis.
- Respond to basic emergency maintenance request as required.
- Perform garbage removal inside and outside of the lodge.
- Grounds keeping including emptying and maintaining all ashtrays around the lodge; cleaning the guard shacks; and removing snow and spreading ice melt around the lodge as needed.
- Perform garbage removal inside and outside of the lodge.
- Perform various custodial duties as needed.
- Perform other various duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Provide a current and satisfactory copy of driver’s abstract.
- Multi-tasking, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well with peers in a group environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.
