As Branch Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of our rental operations. Reporting to the District Manager, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across sales, service, operations, and specialty products within your branch. Your role is pivotal in shaping a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving key performance goals.

Job Description: Major Job Functions: People Leadership – demonstrate clear and effective leadership to all employees within the branch; through performance management, coaching and mentoring, training & individual professional development, and other training opportunities. (30%)
- Provide quality, timely feedback to individuals through formal and informal conversations to support the performance management process
- Share Employee Opinion Survey (EES) results, solicit feedback, develop, and post an action plan on the Action Planning website.
- Facilitate team meetings to support collaboration between departments.
- Works with sales representatives in the field to develop maximum selling effort at optimum cost.
- Constantly appraises pricing, distribution and competitive action and policies. Suggests changes to improve branch sales volume and profit.
Results and Financial Management – Accountable for rental operations, planning and monitoring controls including managing and reporting of branch financial results and facilities requirements. (40%)
- Responsible for reviewing the monthly metrics related to People, Quality, Velocity, P&L with branch employees
- Assist in creating annual budget, monthly reporting & forecasting
- Collaborate with sales and marketing management teams to identify and create customer opportunities & solutions
- Meet or exceed gross margin for AOP
Safety Leadership – lead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment and culture for all branch employees, contractors, and customers. (30%)
- Demonstrate awareness and a commitment to factors that influence personal safety and the safety of others.
- Ensure full compliance on safety practices, procedures & policies, training & audits
- Develop and implement strategies that align with TRIF and LTI targets
Accountability:
- Accountable for providing a safe work environment and delivering safety leadership at all levels within the branch, ensuring implementation of safety initiatives and compliance with programs and policies to achieve world-class workplace safety
- Accountable for talent management for all employees within the branch, including recruitment, development, and retention strategies
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner while maintaining confidentiality and fostering effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for effective human resources management and creating a positive work environment that supports achievement of business goals and objectives
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance, focusing on velocity, productivity, and agility
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and service excellence
- Achieve invoicing efficiency KPIs and maintain accuracy in billing processes
- Deliver financial performance targets including revenue, profitability, and SG&A budgeting
- Develop and implement training and development plans for direct reports to support growth and capability building
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct in all branch activities
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in a leadership role with proven ability to manage branch operations and interpret financial statements
- Industry experience in Rentals is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation abilities
- Demonstrated strategic business planning and forecasting skills with solid business acumen and understanding of financial fundamentals
- Leadership for Safety Excellence training and commitment to fostering a safe work environment
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to address complex issues and challenges
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and team leadership skills to build a high-performing, collaborative culture
- Customer service orientation with the ability to enhance client relationships and deliver exceptional experiences
- Skilled in negotiation, consulting, and relationship management to drive business success
- Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals
- Knowledge of Rental products, services, parts, warranty, and service systems and processes
- Thorough understanding of union environments and collective agreements
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs while maintaining focus on key performance indicators
