Position Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to contribute to student well-being initiatives through the Mental Health Capacity Building Program (MHCB). The MHCB Wellness Coach develops and delivers programming, for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, that meets the objectives of MHCB and Edmonton Public Schools.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

building and maintaining strong relationships with students and staff

providing addiction and mental health promotion and prevention to students
-
working with school staff, parents and community partners to increase knowledge related to mental health issues
-
working as part of a team to develop and deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence-based programming
-
delivering programming in schools and community settings with a focus on increasing knowledge, building skills and fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness
-
identifying and facilitating access for individuals who need referral to specialized addiction and mental health services
Education/Qualifications
-
diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work or related field
-
a minimum of three years related experience including experience in addiction, mental health and child and youth development
-
experience with developing and delivering programming
-
strong relationship building, time management and public speaking skills
-
knowledge of available local and community resources
Rate of Pay
$36.04 - $45.67 per hour

THREE (3) POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Each position has two consecutive term-definites. One ends August 27, 2026 and the second runs from August 28, 2026 to August 25, 2027.
Note: Access to a vehicle for travel between locations is required
Closing date for this competition is May 7, 2026.
