About the role
The Durham Catholic District School Board is currently recruiting Certified Catholic Teachers for the Occasional Teacher (OT) roster.
New graduates pending OCT certification, including candidates with an OCT Transitional Certificate Number, are welcome to apply!
Candidates are requested to complete a portfolio on ATE including a current Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector. a Catholic pastoral letter, teaching evaluations (2), etc.
Interviews may be scheduled prior to September 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly with interview details.
NOTE: Previous applicants are not required to re-apply for consideration.
Long-term (LTO) opportunities are also available. Permanent opportunities may be available.

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is a publicly funded Catholic school board located in Durham Region, east of Toronto, Ontario. There are 44 elementary schools, and 7 secondary schools. Also within the Board are one Adult Education Centre in Ajax, and one Continuing Education Centre in Oshawa. The Board has engaged in a focused effort to improve student learning through ongoing staff development in the area of instructional leadership.
