Job Description

Lead, Digital Business Solutions (Midstream Asset Management)

AltaGas is seeking a Lead, Digital Business Solutions (Midstream Asset Management) to serve as a trusted advisor to our Midstream business. You will own the end‑to‑end health, performance, and lifecycle of our Midstream Asset Management applications, leading sustainment and support, driving ITIL excellence, and translating business needs into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective solutions. You will partner closely with our AMS providers to ensure value realization and continuously improve service delivery

In this role, you’ll lead the “run” component of our plan‑build‑run‑protect model—stabilizing and optimizing the application landscape that supports day‑to‑day operations. You’ll manage incident response and root‑cause analysis, establish risk mitigation processes across the portfolio, and maintain transparent backlogs aligned to business priorities. You will act as technical design authority for your application suite, integrate with Architecture and Program Delivery on new initiatives, and champion innovation by assessing new technologies for Midstream.

You have:

  • Engage as a visible champion of AltaGas values; collaborate with customers and teams to deliver results.
  • Lead application sustainment, testing, incident management, and continuous improvement through structured RCA.
  • Implement portfolio‑level risk identification and mitigation processes to strengthen our digital risk posture.
  • Coordinate services with outsourcing partners; monitor SLAs, service quality, and partner performance.
  • Manage and prioritize sustainment demand; maintain product backlogs and communicate value delivered to stakeholders.
  • Serve as technical design authority; ensure alignment to architecture, integration, and configuration standards.
  • Partner with Architecture and Program Delivery to transition new projects seamlessly into sustainment.
  • Drive innovation by researching and evaluating new approaches, technologies, and solutions for Midstream.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with 3+ years of supervisory experience leading application sustainment teams.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise application architectures, integrations/middleware, data flows, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven incident management/RCA and KPI/service reporting; ITIL v3/v4 certification preferred.
  • Experience leading technical workstreams, upgrades/migrations, and Dev/Test/Prod environment configurations with solid documentation practices.
  • IBM Maximo (5+ years) across Work/Asset Management, PM, Inventory, Purchasing, and Scheduler (required).
  • OpenText (Content Server, Extended ECM, engineering add‑ons, taxonomy/metadata, security, integrations) experience preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps environments; adept at leveraging data for business outcomes
