About the role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Work setting: Rural area. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Boar semen collection. Diagnose livestock health issues. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Select livestock for sale. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Area of specialization: Animal husbandry. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment.
