About the Position

Position TitleEducation Program Coordinator LINC

Job Type Full Time, Temporary - 35 hours per week (8 weeks)

Work Location Onsite

Reports to Manager, LINC Program

Summary of Role

The Education Program Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the LINC department, coordinates with the LINC Intake Coordinators, and collaborates with the other LINC Education Coordinators to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the LINC Department and a high level of service to the program’s clients.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Client Support and Program Delivery

  • Assist LINC Intake Coordinators with student-related matters
  • Complete intake in TIES’ internal database for newly admitted students and support coordinators during student orientations
  • Provide support to clients navigating online classes (Avenue.ca, Zoom, and MS Teams)
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues for students
  • Assist clients struggling with online learning platforms
  • Occasionally support instructors with PBLA binders, e-portfolios, or facilitate classes during assessments

Coordination and Communication Support

  • Update waitlists and contact students who are absent or pending
  • Support coordinators with student follow-ups and general communication

Administrative and Resource Management

  • Organize and maintain the resource room, including inventory checks

  • Manage library inventory and remove outdated or damaged materials and equipment

  • File or shred old documents and organize classrooms, offices, and resource spaces

  • Update bulletin boards and posted materials in classrooms and hallways

  • Help coordinators with other daily office tasks

Requirements / Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or currently enrolled in college or university
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset
  • Comfortable with using technology, e.g. MS Office, Internet, skype, websites
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
  • International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizen or permanent residents
  • PBLA methodology and ESL instructional materials
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
