In this newly created role, you will set asset management directions, lead facilities projects and oversee the capital finances for a growing portfolio of buildings and leased space across Ontario in support of provincial correctional services, policing and community safety.

Leading the Facilities and Capital Finance Branch and reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Infrastructure Division, you will:
- champion an inclusive team culture grounded in service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- provide leadership and direction for strategic planning, priority setting, project delivery, and overall management of a large facilities portfolio and the Division's capital and ODOE (Other Direct Operating Expenses) budgets
- manage stakeholder relationships related to the Ministry's diverse accommodations portfolio, which includes over 8.9 million square feet of space across more than 440 locations throughout the province
- lead the introduction of modern controllership structures and ensure effective systems, processes, and controls are in place to support sound project delivery and financial management and transparency of all facilities-related resources

Knowledge Required for Success
You are an experienced leader with:
- knowledge and understanding of facilities and asset management principles, along with advanced systems and processes, to lead the introduction of new and improved technologies, industry standards, and best practices into the Ministry's facilities and asset management programs, projects, and activities
- an understanding of controllership models, structures, and accountability frameworks to ensure operational effectiveness and the successful achievement of program objectives
