The Opportunity

As our Strategy Director, you'll lead social-first strategic thinking across a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll help uncover insights, define opportunities, and develop strategies that inspire breakthrough creative and drive measurable business results.

You'll partner closely with Creative, Client Services, Production, Media, and Leadership to ensure strategy is embedded throughout the entire process—from pitch to execution to optimization.

This is a leadership role for someone who loves both the craft of strategy and building high-performing teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead strategic direction across key client accounts and new business opportunities Develop social-first, integrated communications, content, and campaign strategies Turn audience, cultural, platform, and business insights into actionable strategic recommendations Lead discovery sessions, workshops, stakeholder interviews, and strategic planning engagements Build creative briefs that inspire exceptional creative work Partner with creative teams throughout ideation, production, and execution to ensure work remains strategically grounded Use social listening, research, analytics, and performance data to uncover insights and measure success Stay ahead of platform trends, emerging behaviours, creators, and internet culture, translating them into opportunities for clients Present strategic recommendations confidently to senior clients and executive stakeholders Mentor and develop strategists while helping establish best practices across the agency Contribute to agency thought leadership, marketing initiatives, and business development Support new business pitches, including opportunity identification, strategic narratives, and presentations

What You'll Bring

8+ years of experience in strategy, planning, or communications, with significant experience in social media Agency experience is highly preferred Deep understanding of social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, and emerging channels Experience developing social, content, influencer, and integrated marketing strategies Strong understanding of audience research, consumer behaviour, cultural trends, and digital analytics Experience using social listening and research tools to uncover actionable insights Ability to connect business objectives with measurable social strategies Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills Comfortable leading executive-level client conversations and influencing senior stakeholders Proven experience mentoring and managing strategy teams Curious, collaborative, and passionate about internet culture, creativity, and innovation

Experience leading integrated campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels Experience with measurement frameworks and social reporting Familiarity with AI tools and how they can enhance strategic thinking and workflows Experience across B2B, B2C, and employer branding
