Reporting to Regional Manager Acute Care Solutions and working in close collaboration with clinical and technical staff, the Clinical Application Analyst (Acute Care) – Nurse coordinates the design and functionality development, testing, and implementation of clinical applications to support the successful implementation, ongoing maintenance, and evaluation of Acute Care clinical applications. Conducts clinical business reviews, needs assessments, and contributes to the development of policies and processes that support use of Acute Care clinical applications in best practice models for service delivery. Provides application training for staff and Physicians, utilizing clinical nursing, and system knowledge and expertise, together with teaching and learning principles and processes. The Clinical Application Analyst (Acute Care) – Nurse, as part of the sustainment operations team, supports the Acute Care clinical applications within NH and works in partnership with other health authorities.
Position will need to travel for extended days to support implementations across NH. Virtual on call to support users.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Qualifications
-
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing RN registrant.
-
Minimum three (3) years’ recent clinical experience in specialty acute care nursing such as critical care or OR/PACU, including experience in: the use of clinical systems.
-
Supporting end users in the use of computer based clinical information systems and familiarity with clinical applications and workflows; and teaching/education experience in the development and delivery of training programs in a computerized client care environment; or an equivalent combination of training, and experience.

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Nurse Analyst Clinical Systems

Current valid B.C. Driver’s License.
Skills and Abilities:

Current knowledge of acute care services in BC.

Current knowledge of, and experience in an Acute Care facility.

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical utilization of clinical information systems.

Knowledge and ability to solve problems using quality improvement processes.

Knowledge and ability to develop and deliver training programs, applying adult education strategies.

Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with others in a consultative/collaborative manner.
