Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz Boundary is currently seeking a Service Coordinator to join our Service Department in Vancouver, British Columbia. Reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager / Service Manager, the Service Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the dealership’s service operations by managing customer appointments, coordinating service scheduling, maintaining customer communication, and providing administrative support to the Service Advisor team. This position contributes to an exceptional customer experience by ensuring service appointments are accurately scheduled, vehicle information is properly documented, and service processes run efficiently from booking through vehicle delivery.
The expected pay for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Respond to incoming customer inquiries and schedule service appointments by phone and other communication channels. Accurately enter appointments into dealership systems and verify vehicle history, open recalls, and manufacturer campaigns. Create and update appointment records in manufacturer and dealership platforms prior to vehicle arrival. Review special order parts reports and proactively contact customers to schedule required service appointments. Follow up with customers who miss scheduled appointments and assist with rescheduling. Coordinate repair order flow and ensure documents are properly forwarded for shop dispatch. Manage the service loaner fleet, including vehicle preparation, inspections, documentation, and daily tracking logs. Contact customers regarding special operational programs, service campaigns, and recall opportunities. Monitor and maintain repair plate inventory and usage. Support customer reception by greeting and assisting service guests when Service Advisors are unavailable. Provide administrative and customer service support to Service Advisors as required. Assist in maintaining efficient service department operations while delivering a high standard of customer care. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service, appointment coordination, administrative, or automotive dealership experience is considered an asset. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and courteous manner. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record management. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computer systems and dealership management software. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Reliable, proactive, and customer-focused approach to work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
