The Opportunity Wholesale Lift Trucks Ltd. is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative – New Equipment Sales to join our growing Ontario team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and helping customers identify the right equipment solutions to improve their operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities As the Outside Sales Representative – New Equipment Sales, your responsibilities will include:
Driving new equipment sales revenue within an assigned territory to achieve and exceed sales targets Prospecting for new business opportunities and developing customer accounts throughout Ontario Managing inbound leads, outbound opportunities, and customer follow-ups Conducting regular customer site visits to understand operational requirements and recommend equipment solutions Preparing quotations, presentations, and proposals while negotiating and closing sales opportunities Promoting WLT's complete offering, including equipment sales, rentals, service, parts, financing, training, batteries, chargers, tires, and fleet management solutions Producing leads and opportunities for all business units Maintaining accurate customer information, sales activities, and opportunity tracking within the CRM system Building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with customers and becoming a trusted equipment advisor Remaining current on product knowledge, market trends, competitive activity, and equipment applications Required Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum one year of outside B2B sales experience or a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets through measurable results. Candidates with strong sales performance in automotive, powersports, heavy equipment, construction equipment, transportation, industrial equipment, or related industries are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint presentations A strong understanding of the technical functions of heavy equipment through previous industry experience, mechanical aptitude, or hands-on operating experience Ability to understand customer applications and recommend equipment solutions that align with operational requirements Strong organizational and time management abilities Self-motivation, resiliency, and a strong desire to succeed Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory Compensation & Benefits Wholesale Lift Trucks Ltd. offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and support long-term career growth, including:
Competitive base salary ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 annually, depending on experience Uncapped commission opportunity Annual Gross Profit Accelerator Program for top performers who exceed annual gross profit objectives On-target earnings (OTE) for year one are estimated between $100,000 and $125,000, with top performers having the opportunity to significantly exceed these earnings. Vehicle allowance and vehicle purchase program Fuel Reimbursement for Travel Cell phone and laptop provided Comprehensive benefits package Ongoing product and professional sales training Support from experienced service, parts, rental, and administrative teams Opportunities for advancement and career development The opportunity to grow with one of Ontario's growing family-run material handling businesses
