The Manitoba King’s Printer - Statutory Publications is the central distribution centre for acts, regulations and other Legislative material, the Manitoba Gazette, the CCSM (Continuing Consolidation of the Statutes of Manitoba). The King's Printer is the official source of Government of Manitoba laws and publications since 1870.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in publishing, communications, or legislative administration
  • Extensive experience processing payments and invoices using SAP system (or similar) in compliance with government financial policies.
  • Experience maintaining accurate financial records for revenue, accounts receivables and reconciliation.
  • Related work experience with records management systems and coordination of document submission or publication processes.
  • Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for official publications.
  • Experience implementing process improvements or digital workflow enhancements
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to proofread, edit and format a variety of documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

Desired:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on judgement.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Knowledge of archival practices and government retention policies.

Duties:

The Information officer manages the digital publication of the Manitoba Gazette and fulfills King’s Printer responsibilities to ensure the accurate and timely release of official government notices and statutory publications. The incumbent also maintains compliance with legislative requirements and supports efficient publishing processes to provide public access to official information.
