Do you love fostering a supportive, engaging, and challenging learning environment for elementary-aged learners? Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Elementary Teacher for a work assignment at Bon Accord School.
Bon Accord Community School offers K-4 programming and is located approximately 20 minutes north of the City of Edmonton in the Town of Bon Accord. The school has a student population of approximately 240 students and a dedicated teaching and support staff working together as a team to provide exemplary education to all students. The school nurtures a safe and caring environment through offering various programs to encourage strong leadership. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences for students in Kindergarten to Grade 4
- Support early learners in developing foundational literacy and numeracy skills
- Create a nurturing, play-based learning environment that supports student growth
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to support student needs
What You Bring
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching early elementary students
- Deep understanding of early brain development
- Experience with documentation, inclusive learning environments, and differentiated instruction
- Proficiency in early literacy and numeracy
- Proficiency in using educational technology
- Enthusiasm for helping young learners grow in confidence and creativity
- A flexible, student-centered approach
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
