As a Mechanic III in this role, you’ll repair and overhaul T56 engines.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect T56 engine modules and engine components.
- Proficient in induction and dismantle of engines/components.
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- Comprehensive understanding of inspection of complex parts, ability to provide guidance as they arise.
- Ability to use hand and air tools such as pneumatic grinder, restoration hammer, and pry bar.
- Knowledge of using measuring devices such as Caliper and Micrometer.
- Observe all applicable safety practices and aviation regulations.
- Advanced understanding of manuals and technical data.
- Thorough knowledge, can easily find interpret instructions and act as a resource to other mechanics.
- Able to provide mentorship to other mechanics with T56 processes and troubleshooting.
What Skills You'll Need
- Minimum of 15-20 years job related training/experience.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, work instructions, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper operating conditions
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Willingness to learn and to understand cause and effects of each function within the process.
- Previous engine test facility experience.
- Previously held authorization to sign off T56 engine work completion.

- Ability to understand and to restore aviation engine part to original integrity and dimensions

StandardAero is organized in two distinctive divisions, Engine Services and Component Repair Services. These two divisions represent the core strengths of StandardAero, our exhaustive engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services capabilities and our significant portfolio of component repair services for business aviation, commercial aviation, military, fixed wing, helicopter and industrial power customers.
