About the Job:

Type: Full time; Permanent

Wage: $25.08 + $4.25 Shift Differential

Shifts: Friday - Sunday 6am - 6:30pm

Summary

The Yard Spotter CDL is primarily responsible for safety handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within a local area. The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service. Incumbent must be at least 21 years of age.

Essential Functions

  • Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within a local area on public roads
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and/or State laws, regulations and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and/or listen and understand information and ideas communicated. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures, Required

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 9 months verifiable experience in commercial driving, Required
  • Must not have more than one moving violation or accidents (anything other than parking) in the last 12 months, Required

Compensation Information :
