About the role

It all started on a bus. An election campaign bus.

Through his experience providing mobile connectivity for election campaigns, Dejero founder Bogdan Frusina witnessed first-hand the challenges that journalists faced reporting live from the field. He knew there was a better way.

Building a team with a passion for innovation and a drive to persevere, he set about developing and commercializing a portable and wireless live video broadcast solution. In November 2009, that vision came to life. Dejero enabled the world’s first live transmission of the torch relay across Canada for the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Since then, we’ve evolved into a world-leading wireless telecommunications aggregator, providing resilient, uninterrupted internet connectivity vital for critical communications. Broadcasters, production companies, first responders, defense departments, and government agencies put their trust in Dejero.

Here’s how you help us continue our story...

The SQA Analyst is someone who pays close attention to how software works, gets pumped about devising tests and finding problems, and likes having a clear, “big picture” context on one hand while digging into details on the other.

As a key member of our Software Quality Assurance team, you will:

  • Plan and execute testing for software projects including building, designing, documenting, executing, and modifying test cases, plans and procedures in an Agile development environment.
  • Develop and maintain an innovative test automation system
  • Find and manage bugs in the software, investigating problems, finding their root cause, and clearly documenting findings and test results into the defect/issue tracking system (JIRA)
  • Act as a project test lead for key assigned projects
  • Continuously improve software test setup and processes, including those involving test automation
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive test strategy and work in partnership with a cross-functional team to define and complete testing deliverables
  • Develop, review, refine, use, and document plans for both automated and manual functional, integration, performance, and regression tests. Ensure that tests are successfully completed prior to production.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to all teams with whom you interact
  • Mentor and act as a resource to junior team members
