A career as an Investment Analyst at National Bank Financial – Wealth Management means joining one of Canada’s top investment firms and contributing directly to a high-performing advisory practice. You’ll bring analytical strength, financial insight, and attention to detail to a client-focused environment. This role is designed to provide support across investment operations, client portfolio management, and compliance execution.

Your Job

  • Support the advisor in the preparation of personalized proposals and recommendations for clients and prospects
  • Prepare for client meetings by assembling agendas, portfolio reports, and notes
  • Review client portfolios for rebalancing, excess cash, GIC maturities, and switch candidates
  • Maintain KYP documentation and compliance records within Salesforce
  • Analyze and track individual stocks, ETFs, investment funds, and model portfolios
  • Suggest consolidation opportunities to simplify client holdings
  • Draft investment commentary and assist with quarterly client updates
  • Coordinate new client onboarding activities and ensure CRM accuracy
  • Follow up on client communications, tax checklists, and KYC updates
  • Contribute to research summaries from earnings calls, analyst reports, and macroeconomic updates
  • Stay up to date on the latest economic and market trends
  • Other duties as assigned

Your team

You’ll join an established, high-performing advisory team that emphasizes building strong client relationships, with a disciplined investment philosophy and a focus on delivering high-quality service and support. We offer a wide range of development opportunities including hands‑on experience and training courses.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the securities or wealth management industry
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
  • CFA and/or CIM designation preferred
  • WME completion an asset
  • Experience using Salesforce; knowledge of Croesus an asset
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, compliance workflows, and CRM discipline
  • Professional communication skills and a focus on service excellence
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
