About the role
Overview The Consultant supports various account teams under the supervision of the Account Manager to ensure the timely, cost effective, quality management of all client projects as well as participates in new business development for the team.
Responsibilities
- Drafts and distributes media materials (press releases, backgrounders, pitch documents and new business documents) and conducts media relations activities
- Maintains and monitors workflow assignments on all projects
- Accurately tracks time and submits timesheets on weekly basis
- Demonstrated ability/understanding of time tracking, invoicing system, account budgets and ensuring projects are completed within assigned timelines
- Interacts with clients in a professional manner and participates in discussions around campaign strategy
- Provides leadership and direction to Account Coordinators proactively and assists the team in delivery of project elements
- Proactively identifies problems/opportunities early and advises team appropriately
- Understands all types of PR tactics and their specific value to programs
- Assists Account Managers in identifying organic growth opportunities and potential new business targets that are consistent with the strategic direction of the agency
- Solid understanding of agency offerings in order to best serve existing clients (upsell and cross sell opportunities)
- Participates in new business pitches as required
- Collaborates with team on providing creative solutions for clients and overall agency
- Stays abreast and is a source of information on Social Media and Online Marketing best practices and latest developments
- Uses social media to deliver on client objectives
Agency Corporate Responsibilities
- Demonstrated understanding of our brand mission, vision, values and character
- Collaboration on agency activities/working groups
- Participation in training opportunities and memberships to improve skills and increase understanding of the industry
- Contribution to the ongoing education of the agency’s corporate knowledge of media, social media and online marketing
