Molycop produces Grinding Media for the North American Mining industry at its Kamloops facility located 15km east of Kamloops on Highway 1. Molycop Canada offers industry competitive wages and benefits.

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end procurement and vendor management, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with corporate policies. This position plays a key role in supporting operations while aligning procurement activities with financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize competitive procurement and strategic sourcing to drive cost savings and minimize conversion costs.
  • Analyze procurement data to guide decisions, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Manage procurement workflows in the ERP system: enter requisitions and issue purchase orders.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, safety, environmental performance, and distribution capabilities.
  • Monitor vendor performance using evaluation matrices; issue NCRs and corrective actions to improve cost, quality, and lead times.
  • Resolve quantity, pricing, and taxation issues to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., SCMP, CIPS, or PMAC) are considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an asset).
  • Experience and proficiency with PowerBI would be an asset.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
  • Experience with vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory management.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected Salary Range: $70,000-$95,000
  • Eligible for variable compensation and group benefits.
  • Defined Contribution Pension Plan
  • Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
