We are actively seeking a Field Foreman to join our Cold Lake Operations team at Lindbergh. Reporting to the Senior Operations Foreman, the Field Foreman will ensure all field operating activities are carried out in a planned, efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner, complying with all Strathcona practices, policies and regulations. They will execute optimization strategies and operating cost management techniques, working closely with Engineers, Maintenance, Well Servicing, and the Lindbergh Operations Team to meet targets. The Field Foreman will lead, mentor and develop a team of Operators and will be responsible for their day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the safe operation of all field activities, equipment and wells; assign responsibilities to direct reports
- Support, Mentor and Coach direct reports; ensure each field operations staff member is competent and adequately trained to perform their job.
- ERP key contact for Field emergencies
- Ensure field operations are following all lotto practices and site release procedures
- Act as a Leader in promoting a strong safety culture through proactive reporting, site hazard assessments, lockout procedures, tailgate meetings. Etc.
- Responsible for the compliance in the execution of the Above Ground Pipeline inspections and Liner Vent checks to ensure PIM and POMM are being supported via the HUDU program
- Assist asset integrity to ensure Pressure Relief Device management for the Field
- Ensure compliance in monthly Field manual well sampling
- Issue Site Releases for Well Servicing
- Responsible to evaluate, approve and prioritize break-in maintenance work
- Work with Engineering to ensure single isolations have been reviewed and signed off as per CLT lotto standard
- Accountable for operations planning for maintenance. This includes LOTO development, permit review/task analysis development, maintenance scheduling, service request prioritization, scheduled activities, and opportune work coordination, critical lift plans.
- Ensure post maintenance PSSR’s are completed
- Approve and Prioritize field MOC’s
- Conduct annual PPRP reviews, and quarterly field operator meetings to provide feedback for employee performance and recommendations when required
- Ensure unnecessary downtime of wells and equipment is reduced
Requirements
- Fourth Class ABSA Power Engineering Certificate with preference given to Third Class certification or higher
- Minimum 10+ years of related industry experience in SAGD
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (a driver’s abstract is required)
- Extensive knowledge of SAGD Field Operations and Field Panel Operations
- PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PI, Maximo etc.)
- Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, leadership and supervisory skills
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and strong decision-making skills
