Are you an Occupational Health Nurse looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a passion for fostering quality care for employees in the workplace? We are recruiting an Occupational Health Nurse for our Syncrude assets.
In this position, the Occupational Health Nurse assures the quality, integrity, and value of health services while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Health & Safety professionals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three or more years of experience in a similar role
- A post-secondary education in nursing and hold a current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Spirometry and Audiometry Certification
- Experience providing first aid, emergency response, with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor within emergency situations, and overseeing industrial health programs
- Experience in health surveillance testing and programs, as well as conducting new hire medicals
- understanding of health and wellness programs, including support of medical surveillance and wellness programs
Responsibilities:
- Support disability case management and facilitate return to work programs as well as liaising and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders
- Ensures quality, integrity, and value of health services in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of OH&S professionals.
- Responsible for delivering both clinical and emergency response care to ill and injured employees and contractors, as primary emergency response provider, supporting the RMWB regional staffing model.
- Conducts health surveillance activities, provides health consultation and monitoring, implements wellness strategies and initiatives, completes initial classification of occupational injuries, completes onsite alcohol and drug testing for employees
- Support and lead the execution of wellness and education/training strategies
- Collect and analyze comprehensive medical information and confidential medical records
Location & Other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake and Aurora sites
- The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off – 12-hour shifts
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
