Sicom Industries Ltd., a division of Boundary Mining Group is hiring for a Shipper & Receiver!
Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Shipper & Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to all incoming material to Sicom Industries. They are responsible for ensuring that goods received match the purchase order. They are also responsible for the packaging and crating/palletizing of manufactured goods to be delivered to customers and/or subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Loads/unloads shipments. Manages the placement of inventory in the shop and yard. Records and reviews of quality and quantity of goods received for conformity to Sicom Industries purchase orders. Provides all received documentation including waybills and certificates to the AP/QC Dept. Physically verifies the material received against the paperwork and purchase order and reports any discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager /QC Dept. Files the accompanying shipment paperwork in an organized manner. Schedules daily pickups with various freight providers. Packs, seals, and labels materials to prepare for shipping. Prepare documents such as packing list and shipping orders. Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in logistics and warehousing. 2+ years of experience operating a forklift. Experience in woodworking to build creates and use of various saws.
Skills & Abilities
Competent in learning and using software applications to support shipping and receiving duties. Able to establish priorities and organize daily tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Dependable and consistent in attendance and productivity. High attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all paperwork.
Working Conditions
Monday to Friday in-person, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. General manufacturing / machine shop environment. ISO9001 and AS9100 environment, requiring criminal background checks. Use electric/manual pallet jacks, various saws, computer and peripherals.
