Join Our Team as a Stock Room Co-op Student at Johnson Electric! Location: Ancaster, ON, Canada (onsite) Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: As our next Stock Room Co-op Student , you’ll be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities and inventory management in the stockroom, including receiving, issuing, recording, and supporting stockroom process improvement initiatives. You'll report to the Maintenance Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Receive parts and materials into CMS and EAM systems.
- Verify supplier shipments (quantities, descriptions) and unpack/place products in designated stocking locations.
- Issue and record parts to internal customers at the stockroom window/counter.
- Perform physical and cycle inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate manual and computerized records.
- Record stock outs and return unused/defective parts to outside vendors.
- Prepare repair parts for shipment to repair vendors, including contacting vendors, arranging pick-up, and reviewing repair quotes with maintenance.
- Assist in expediting supplier shipments (backup) under the direction of the MRO Coordinator.
- Participate in a stockroom improvement project (TBD), such as:
- Mapping current processes and recommending 1–2 improvements.
- Documenting current work instructions.
- Identifying potential cost savings opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to Johnson Electric’s policies, procedures, Safety, and Environmental practices.
- Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For: Qualifications:
- Student enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Distribution, or a related field.
- Experience in customer service or stockroom environment is an asset.
Technical & Skill Requirements:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Motivated, with strong problem-solving abilities and a good work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair, operations (MRO) or production products is an asset.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands):
- Frequent standing, walking, and light lifting of parts and materials.
- Some work in manufacturing and warehouse environments requiring PPE.
- Occasional time at a computer workstation.
- Requirement for accuracy and attention to detail under deadline pressures.
