The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controlsteam based in Calgary, AB**.**

Your Role:
- Contributing to the concept, development and design of components, subsystems or processes.
- Sizing and specification of electrical equipment.
- Basic cable and tray sizing calculations.
- Electrical heat tracing calculations, power system calculations, specifications of electrical equipment.
- Prepare simple plans and designs for electrical equipment layouts and power distribution.
- Perform routine technical surveys.
- Help ensure all project scope items are addressed and quality objectives met.
- Help ensure project schedules and budgets are maintained and adhered to.
- Work closely with other disciplines and share knowledge with colleagues within the company and with clients.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Registration with EGBC as an Engineer-in-Training or eligibility for registration.

0-3 years of experience – new grads welcome to apply!

Heavy industrial or consulting experience is considered an asset.

Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code and other related standards.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
