Custodian
Part-Time (25 hours per week)
Do you take pride in your work?
Do you have a high standard for cleanliness?
Do you enjoy working independently and in a team environment?
On our team, you will maintain PGNFC facilities to the highest level of cleanliness standards. Your custodial duties will help to ensure the health, safety and security of the public accessing our facilities. This role will assist with custodial duties within our foyers, waiting areas, washrooms and offices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, janitorial professional cleaning experience (at least 1 year preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
- Prior experience working with cleaning chemicals.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.
- A safety conscious attitude.
- Training in the proper and safe use of cleaning materials is preferred.
- WHMIS Certification, or the ability to obtain it.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving objects up to 24kg, as necessary.
- Ability to kneel, bend and climb stairs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment.
- Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned.
- Clearance of Criminal Record Check is required.
- The starting wage for this position $22.90/hr. to $24.00/hrs. based on experience.
