Job Description
CEDA is hiring a Junior Project Accountant for joining our Finance team in the Edmonton, AB office.
This person will play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. If you are flexible and enjoy a hybrid-working model, apply now!
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the key liason, providing financial support for the Regional Controller and Project Accountants
- You will be responsible for effectively communicating project set up and customer billing requirements to all internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance and accurate rates.
- Prepare project margin and customer profitability analyses
- Assist in troubleshooting service tickets and issues in our systems (FieldFX and Microsoft AX) to keep everything functioning properly, aligning to project needs
- Collaborate with the team and follow up on any project billing or costing discrepancies as needed
- Assist with month-end duties, including the preparation and review of journal entries and the creation and maintenance of internal reports
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in a project accounting or similar position
- Working towards a professional accounting designation is an asset
- Exposure to a daily field capture system is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Skills:
- You have an uncompromising belief inteamworkthat allows you to effectively collaborate with others while supporting the goals of the business
- Strong organization, prioritization, andproblem solvingskills with a high attention to detail
