Graduation from high school supplemented by the successful completion of a two-yearSecretarial Science or Office Administration diploma;? Completion of an approved medical terminology course or willingness to complete withintimeframe designated by the employer;? Demonstrated experience and ability in word processing and other Microsoft software(including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and Email);? Experience working with people in a healthcare setting considered an asset;? Ability to work independently;? The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.Duties (Include but not limited to):? Answers the telephone, files, prepares/sends/receives mail, photocopies, and sends/receivesfaxes;? Monitors email and keeps up to date with public health, primary care, and ambulatory/homecare clerical work flow;? Manages the schedules of health care professionals working in public health, primary care,and ambulatory/home care (including receiving referrals and booking/schedulingappointments by corresponding with clients);? Utilizes the electronic medical record, Meditech, CRMS, and any other applicable software toassist in client documentation;? Greets clients and manages the waiting area;? Obtains/orders supplies through Materials Management;? Other related duties as required;? Travel may be required;? May be required to work alone.
