About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Level 1) to lead multiple IT and Operational Technology (OT) initiatives. The successful candidate will manage Engineering/Public Works technology projects, Public Safety initiatives, and Meeting Room Technology implementations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a strong background in IT project management, stakeholder engagement, governance, change management, and project execution in a public sector environment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications: Education: Diploma or Certificate (2-year minimum) in: Computer Science Engineering e-Commerce Information Technology or related discipline Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
Experience
5+ years of experience delivering IT projects. 2+ years of experience working as a designated Project Manager. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Experience delivering projects exceeding $1M in budget and/or lasting more than one year.
Preferred Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) CAPM PgMP
Preferred Experience
Experience delivering projects involving: SCADA upgrades Operational Technology (OT) Public Works technology Engineering systems Asset Management platforms Meeting/Conference Room Technology Operations Centre build outs Fire Rescue technology Municipal IT Infrastructure
