Schedule: Full Availability Required (Day & Night Shifts)

Rotation: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off)

Pay Rate: $21.93/hour

We are looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at healthcare facilities in Calgary and surrounding areas, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

Healthcare Security can be both physically and emotionally demanding, requiring empathy, professionalism, and strong customer service. Our Healthcare managers provide 24-hour support, with an emphasis on proactive risk reduction and real-time guidance during incidents.

Responsibilities While duties may vary depending on the specific healthcare site, you can expect to:

• Provide access control in/out of the facility and within restricted areas

• Monitor and respond to incidents identified on-site and through CCTV systems

• Conduct patrols to identify risks such as:

• Unlocked doors

• Blocked entrances/exits

• Mechanical issues

• Hazardous materials

• General security breaches

• Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance

• Investigate and report irregularities encountered during shifts

• Monitor patient safety and document incidents as required

Requirements To be a strong fit for Healthcare Security, you should have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven de-escalation and conflict resolution abilities

• An empathetic and professional approach to working with the public

• Confidence and calmness under pressure

• Understanding of confidentiality in the workplace

• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including:

• Walking up to 20km per shift

• Climbing stairs

• Pushing/pulling 30-pound doors

Certification Requirements (All)

• Valid Alberta Security Licence (or ability to obtain prior to starting)
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
