About the role
executing the policies and procedures necessary to manage the physical transportation of cargo within our Canadian network of hubs, gateways, stations and meet-points. The position will work to ensure the Linehaul network meets customer / internal requirements and is executed in an organized, efficient and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check billing accuracy and approve invoices in Basware to ensure vendor payment.
- Coordinate actions to execute solutions and achieve service goals
- Make/implement recommendations for improved efficiency, accuracy and cost savings
- Pro-actively engage in all issues that will impact service and follow thru to completion
- Provide guidance, advice and/or training to colleagues on all Linehaul related issues
- Apply problem-solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations
- Ensure reoccurring issues are raised to the right management function and level for review
Do you have what it takes?

Minimum 5-10 years transportation or logistics experience

Preferred BA degree

Excel, Word and Power Point experience required

Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Fluent in spoken and written English
-
Strong knowledge of Network Operations and workings of DHL

Ability to influence and negotiate with outside vendors

Excellent business acumen
-
Effective planning, organization and decision making competencies
