About the role
We are seeking a motivated & confident Quality Specialist, responsible for implementing and upholding quality standards, contributing to established processes that support front & back-end home building issues and deliver Caivan’s marquis Pre-Delivery Inspections.
This is a client-facing, in-person position for a motivated professional with a strong drive to produce a quality experience and make a meaningful impact.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and passionate about continuous improvement, with a strong ability to build trust with homeowners and internal teams alike.

You will Bring
- Post-Secondary education in Construction Management or a related field considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within residential home construction
- Proficiency with Tarion’s Construction Performance Guidelines
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (OBC) considered an asset
- Comfortable with using smartphones, tablets, or computers to record, review, and communicate Inspection information
- Strong understanding of new home construction, from framing to closing
Exceptional Skills Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage Homeowners, Trades, and internal Teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Keen attention to detail, including fit, finish, and overall product quality
- Strong organizational and reporting skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Positive, Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Practical construction knowledge and hands-on aptitude are assets
- Demonstrated commitment to Built-In Quality principles and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct process confirmations at key milestones during the production schedule
- Host homeowners and deliver best-in-class Pre-Drywall Walk & PDI experiences
- Complete quality Inspections and generate clear work orders for trade partners
- Verify that work is completed per-plan, scope, and customer-signed selections
- Identify recurring deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend sustainable corrective actions
- Support and promote Caivan’s Health & Safety Program on site
- Train and educate internal teams and trade partners on quality expectations and best practices
- Collaborate with Team Leads to strengthen and evolve Built-In Quality processes
- Represent Caivan’s values and act as a trusted ambassador of our quality standards and customer experience
- Perform other duties as required
Working Conditions
- The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks
- PPE is required at all times in field settings (steel toes & a hard hat)
- The position is situated on a busy, high-volume construction site with constant activity, including large machinery
The compensation range for this role is $102,500 annually.
