  • Collaborate across departments to ensure sustainability messaging aligns with our brand and enhances customer engagement.

Community Engagement & Charitable Impact

  • Amplify the work of the OpenRoad Foundation by showcasing charitable giving, community partnerships, and associate involvement.
  • Plan and support campaigns, donation drives, events, and volunteer activities, capturing impactful stories that inspire.
  • Develop social media content, internal communications, and event messaging to increase awareness of our community contributions.

Internal Culture & Communications

  • Engage associates with our Mission, Vision & Values through newsletters, digital content, signage, and storytelling.
  • Support internal campaign rollouts, associate recognition programs, and cross-department initiatives that reinforce our culture of care.
  • Create communication toolkits and messaging for town halls, board meetings, and community presentations.

Project & Partner Collaboration

  • Coordinate communications efforts across teams, track impact, and develop campaigns with clear objectives and timelines.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, nonprofit partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain brand consistency and achieve measurable outcomes.

  • Contribute to planning calendars and provide insights to improve future initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Relations, Marketing, or related discipline.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in sustainability communications, CSR, nonprofit sector, internal communications, or public relations—preferably within automotive or retail industries.

  • Experience in automotive or retail sectors is an advantage.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences (internal teams, customers, partners, media).

  • Ability to simplify complex sustainability and ESG topics for broad understanding.

  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or TCFD is an asset.

  • Proficient in multi-channel communications, including social media, digital platforms, newsletters, and internal communication tools.

  • Experience with content creation and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.
