We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our busy and fast-paced Marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, organized, and service-oriented marketing professional who enjoys working collaboratively, coordinating events and business development initiatives, and supporting a firm that values professional growth and teamwork.
Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute client seminars, educational sessions, conferences, and related business development events. Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement strategies and action plans for firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives. Develop and update marketing materials including advertisements, press releases, practice profiles, lawyer presentations, website content, lawyer profiles, and social media content. Coordinate the RFP process and prepare proposals, including collaborating with legal professionals to collect relevant information, conduct research, edit drafts, and meet proposal deadlines. Identify and complete submissions for legal awards and directory ranking opportunities. Track and measure marketing and business development KPIs. Seek opportunities for lawyers to expand the firm’s profile in the Canadian market through speaking engagements, seminars, conferences, publications and social media. Manage sponsorships and firm donations. Maintain the firm’s client database and related marketing records. Maintain the firm’s website (using WordPress and BreakDance) and handle updates, changes and improvements.
Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of experience in business development, events, communications, and/or marketing; professional services experience is considered an asset. Diploma or degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. Experience with CRM databases and marketing software; CanvaPro, Pheedloop, WordPress, Hubspot and Introhive experience is considered an asset. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. Strong technical skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Outstanding internal and external client service skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment and meet deadlines.

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually. The final offer will take into account the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as internal and market equity.
