Working as a collaborative team member, the Logistics and Nutrition Assistant performs various duties including food and nutrition preparation, delivery, cleaning and sanitation processes; portering patients/clients/equipment/supplies; and providing transportation services for outpatients/clients.
Skills And Qualifications Required
Minimum of Ontario Secondary School Grade 12 equivalency
Completion of the requirements for the National Food Safety Training Certificate Program, preferred Six months’ work experience in an institutional food services environment, preferred Experience working with HACCP guidelines, preferred Valid Ontario driver’s license Class G, and clear driver’s abstract; Class F, preferred Experience using computerized systems
Position Responsibilities
Assists in provision of food services for centralized and decentralized meal service for patient/clients Assists with routine food preparation tasks Operates a variety of equipment such as dish machine, food chopper, toaster, and the transport vehicle as assigned. Maintains cleanliness by cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment, work surfaces, delivery carts or denest, dining tables, storage areas and pot areas Performs inventory control and quality standard related duties by completing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Temperature procedure guidelines at every meal and completing related documentation Drives community clients to community appointments, as assigned, and temporarily until client independence with community travel is consolidated as per client service plan F licensed drivers will drive community clients using Providence Care accessible bus or 12 passenger van
