What You’ll Do Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care Services, you will:

  • Provide guidance to the development team on the specific business requirements and processes requested in the solution
  • Discuss impacts with project stakeholders to quickly resolve any conflicts between the proposed solution and the enterprise architecture.
  • Leading and managing changes to business processes and computer applications;
  • Conducting feasibility studies and developing business cases that review existing services or processes, determining future business needs or opportunities and recommending strategies that satisfy client needs and objectives;
  • Assisting clients in gathering business requirements and preparing requirements documents;
  • Monitoring current, new, and emerging services;
  • Evaluating industry trends and analyzing similar service offerings in other jurisdictions to identify opportunities and develop strategies for continued business/service improvement;
  • Write a variety of detailed, accurate and clear technical material such as user and systems requirements;
  • Incorporate new technology and create new solutions within a constantly changing technological and business environment;
  • Quickly gain understanding of key business processes and respond to changes within the business environment.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study; and/or applicants with an IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification supplemented with experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within an integrated support environment.
  • Strategic and project planning techniques and methodologies;
  • Database analysis;
  • Requirements analysis and solution design techniques;
  • Computer software testing methodologies.
  • Group facilitation skills;
  • Excellent documentation skills to produce proposals, charters, business requirements, test plans and schedules;
  • Knowledge of business needs analysis/business process improvement methodologies, tools and processes
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies and process

Competencies

  • Ability to verbally and in writing explain or present technical information to a variety of non-technical individuals and/or groups in a clear, accurate and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently, lead and participate as a team member to meet program goals and to build productive, positive work relationships.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, monitor, adjust and implement projects, taking into consideration numerous and changing priorities, and or resources to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to build cooperative working relationships with coworkers and clients to ensure credibility and confidence in services provided.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and organize one’s own workload to meet tight deadlines within budget and successfully complete projects in a changing environment.
  • Analytical Ability to extract, synthesize, conceptualize and apply ideas, processes and information to create solutions in a constantly changing technological and business environment

  • Completion of a recognized project management certificate or designation would be considered an asset as well as working within an integrated IT/Health support environment.
  • Ability to identify, explore and evaluate options on processes and methodologies and information technology solutions in order to design new business systems and develop feasible recommendations.
