Job Summary
The Digital Analyst, Digital Marketing plays a critical role in supporting HOOPP’s enterprise digital marketing initiatives through data-driven analysis, technical implementation, and continuous optimization. Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, this role provides insights that drive improved user experiences, campaign performance, and accessibility across HOOPP’s digital ecosystem; including hoopp.com, social media, and email marketing.
This position also blends analytics and technical implementation, focusing on both digital data interpretation and digital platform support including website and social media support and execution. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude and curiosity with a desire to explore outcomes and improve digital operations. They thrive on solving problems, testing new solutions, and helping ensure that HOOPP’s digital channels deliver an excellent and accessible experience for all audiences.
What you will do:

Manage and interpret analytics using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console to identify insights and trends across HOOPP’s websites, campaigns, and digital channels.

Monitor paid media performance and contribute data and recommendations to optimize campaigns in partnership with digital leads and the enterprise media team.

Create and maintain dashboards and recurring reports highlighting key performance metrics, engagement patterns, and conversion opportunities.

Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance site traffic, SEO performance, and digital experience outcomes.
-
Collaborate with internal teams to define tracking requirements and implement tagging or event tracking to measure new features or campaigns.
-
Support analysis of social media performance and benchmarking against industry best practices.

Update and maintain content on the corporate website’s CMS, ensuring accuracy, maintaining accessibility standards, while aligning with defined design systems, brand guidelines and compliance standards.

Use Siteimprove and other website quality assurance tools to identify and resolve accessibility (AODA) and SEO issues, working collaboratively with internal teams and IT partners to achieve goals.

Support the development of requirements for new website features or digital experiences, integrating tracking and analytics requirements.

Conduct periodic audits to ensure the website’s digital health, including AODA compliance, SEO optimization, and overall content performance and provide proactive recommendations for improvement.

Support testing and troubleshooting of new digital functionalities in partnership with the Digital Marketing and IT teams.

Support email campaign deployment, testing, and automation within Dotdigital or equivalent platforms.

Partner with marketing colleagues to ensure accurate audience segmentation, personalization, and reporting on email performance.

Assist with optimization of subject lines, creative, and delivery timing based on data insights.

Implement A/B tests or multivariate tests to refine messaging and improve engagement outcomes.

Support cross-channel measurement of campaigns across email, social, and web.

Maintain awareness of evolving digital trends, technologies, and best practices across analytics, accessibility, and digital marketing.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, analytics processes, or reporting efficiency.

Demonstrate curiosity and a commitment to continuous upskilling, learning new platforms, analytics tools, and testing techniques.

Collaborate with the Digital team to evaluate and pilot new digital tools or integrations that enhance HOOPP’s digital ecosystem.

Actively explore and adopt AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to optimize work processes, improve quality, and deliver insights — while ensuring responsible and ethical use.

Support SEO strategy and execution, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical audits to improve organic visibility and search performance.

Monitor and analyze organic search and generative engine (AI-driven search) trends, identifying opportunities to enhance content discoverability and relevance across evolving search experiences.

Partner with content and web teams to optimize site structure, metadata, and content for both traditional search engines and emerging generative platforms.
What you bring:

University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Data Analytics, Business, Digital Media, or a related discipline. A post graduate degree is an asset.

5+ years of experience in digital marketing, analytics, or a related technical role.

Experience working in both small and large cross-functional teams, preferably in a corporate or similar environment to HOOPP.
-
Experience with digital transformation projects like new website builds and CMS platform migrations.
-
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage expectations of both leaders and internal partners effectively.

Strong ability to analyze both small and large data sets and derive actionable insights to drive decision making, including data from the website, email campaigns and paid and organic social media.

Ability to create and set up campaign trackers across platforms and optimize as needed.
-
Proficiency with analytics tools and data visualization platforms (GA4, GSC, Siteimprove, Excel/Sheets, dashboarding tools like Tableau or PowerBI).

Ability to leverage AI productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) responsibly to enhance efficiency, streamline work activities and support high-quality deliverables.

Proficiency with posting and managing social media content in native and non-native social media management platforms.

Experience updating and optimizing content within a CMS (e.g., Sitefinity, WordPress, or similar).

Experience building, sending and optimizing email marketing campaigns through Email Service Providers such as Dotdigital or Mailchimp.

Good working knowledge of SEO best practices, AODA accessibility standards, and website optimization techniques.

Understanding of front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to troubleshoot or implement simple fixes.

Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and a solid understanding of on-page, technical, and content optimization best practices.

Familiarity with evolving search landscapes, including generative AI/search (GEO), and a curiosity for testing and adapting strategies in this space.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance across data and digital deliverables.

Strong organizational, time-management and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple projects in parallel.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $71,000 - $109,000 CAD
