Position Summary

Reporting to the Supply Chain Transformation Director, the Manager Supply Chain Transformation plays a strategic role in leading the Supplier Manager Industrialization team in ensuring on-time industrialization and execution of new and existing contracts, development of risk mitigation strategies and proactive identification and resolution of supply chain strategies to ensure program deliverables. Serving as the primary escalation point for Supply Chain new programs, from readiness ramp up and into sustaining production.

This position is integral to maintaining production reliability, supporting both daily and weekly schedules, and driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide a team of Industrialization Supplier Managers and Intervention agents, including setting performance goals, providing training, and conducting evaluations.
  • Focal for continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and training programs for Supply Chain Transformation team.
  • Be visible and the voice of your Supplier Industrialization team by generating regular reports for senior management, highlighting supplier performance, risks and strategies for improvement
  • Project manage New Program launch and ensure all required milestones are meeting De Havilland Aircraft of Canada qualification requirements on time
  • Responsible for the coordination of supplier industrialization resources
  • Manage industrialization launch on complex or strategic accounts in partnership with the Supply Chain Transformation Director
  • Coordinate on-site supplier readiness and intervention resources.
  • Resolve supply chain disruptions and mitigate risk across the supplier base
  • Ensure alignment of supply chain Industrialization activities with operational priorities and schedule requirements.
  • Assist in Investigation of root cause of manufacturing problems and liaise with other functions to analyze potential solutions by evaluating cost, impacts and risks of a change in production
  • Support in the qualification of manufacturing processes and tooling within the supplier facility
  • Track and present team KPI data for DMM meetings, program reviews, and rate readiness reviews.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Serve as the data focal point for internal stakeholder update and collaboration meetings.
  • Present updates, action items, and insights to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Procurement leadership and PPL’s to engage in meaningful discussions, ensuring timely resolution of issues and escalation where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in procurement, supplier management or a or related field
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience (e.g. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Assembler, etc.) considered an asset
  • The ability to inspire a team and align daily tasks with bigger picture
  • Knowledge of the fabrication and assembly of aircraft parts, structures, and systems
  • Experience of Mass Production, PPAP, FAI, and supplier line qualification procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings
  • Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time
  • Strong problem-solving with critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent judgement/decision making skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid passport and be willing/able to travel both domestic and internationally when required.
  • Experience in leading project teams and possess strong project management skills
  • Ability and willingness to complete work on a fixed and demanding schedule, and follow up on outstanding issues in a timely fashion
  • You are comfortable with complex technical topics and have knowledge of legal terminology or interpretation of contracts.
  • You are familiar with Just-In-Time purchasing logistic, integrated supply chain and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • You can work with MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook.
