Job Summary
The Equipment Coordinator supports the Equipment Manager in the day-to-day oversight of the company’s fleet, helping ensure equipment is cost-effective, well-maintained, and aligned with operational needs. This role plays a key part in tracking equipment usage, supporting capital planning, and coordinating processes related to equipment acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
Working closely with shop teams, operations, and other internal stakeholders, the Equipment Coordinator gathers and analyzes data, prepares reports, and helps implement standardized processes and improvements across the Equipment Group. The role also contributes to initiatives such as preventative maintenance tracking, inventory management, and continuous improvement programs, while supporting safe and efficient shop operations.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and contributing to operational improvements in a fast-paced, equipment-focused environment. The role requires regular travel across Atlantic Canada, with occasional overnight trips and visits to other regions for onboarding and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Support equipment lifecycle activities, including acquisition, usage, and disposal Create process documents and flowcharts for Equipment Group tasks (e.g., capex, equipment changes, work order flow, preventative maintenance tracking, license tracking, Darci) Assist the Equipment Manager with fleet management documentation, reporting, and analysis (e.g., disposals, capex) Ensure equipment usage hours are accurately reported Implement changes to improve equipment systems and procedures Support shop operations by overseeing parts procurement and forecasting inventory needs Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with company standards and legal regulations Perform other tasks as required to support the Equipment Manager
Requirements
Experience in equipment, construction, or a related operational environment is an asset Strong Excel and data analysis skills required Experience with JDE is considered an asset Post-secondary education in Business Administration is considered an asset Experience with reporting or data tools is an asset Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Familiarity with Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S/6S) and their application in a shop or operational environment is an asset, or a willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment Interest in equipment repair is considered an asset Ability and willingness to travel regularly within Atlantic Canada, including occasional overnight travel
