Configuration Control Specialist is responsible for the coordination, review, maintenance, and revision of all technical configuration documentation within the business unit. Works with Configuration Control Specialists across other business units to ensure that everyone is working towards the corporate vision of configuration control.
What You'll Do
- Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.
- Recognizes and understands the Just Culture policy.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Reviews new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical documents and defines impact to existing documentation.
- Coordinates the review of technical documents with engineering staff and amends applicable current company documentation
- Responsible for maintaining the central filing system for technical documentation within the business unit.
- Provides applicable Measures of Performance (MOPs) related to technical configuration documentation to the Director, Engineering (SBU) and/or the Director, Quality Improvement (SBU).
- Responsible for maintaining the Production Management System (PMS) within the business unit.
- Maintains accountability for the SBU format of bill of materials (BOM) and all subsequent changes.
- Supports operations by resolving requests relating to technical documentation, and the Production Management System (PMS).
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualification
- College diploma or university degree in a field of information systems, statistics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a role involving records management and documentation control.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and governing bodies, such as TC, CAAC, FAA, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, planning, and communication (oral and written) skills.
Desired Skills
- Previous leadership experience or strong leadership skills are considered an asset.
- Prior experience in the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with airworthiness regulations is considered an asset.

These two divisions represent the core strengths of StandardAero, our exhaustive engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services capabilities and our significant portfolio of component repair services for business aviation, commercial aviation, military, fixed wing, helicopter and industrial power customers.
