About the role
Job Summary
Oversee MRO inventory, warehouse operations, and materials management at the Scarborough (West Hill) site to ensure accurate inventory and reliable support for plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize site MRO inventory levels and organization.
- Classify, standardize, and rationalize inventory across storerooms and laydown areas.
- Set and maintain inventory parameters (min/max, reorder points, safety stock, ABC classification).
- Maintain critical spare parts programs aligned with reliability needs.
- Manage replenishment, analyze surplus/obsolete materials, and implement disposition strategies.
- Govern material master data in SAP/CMMS, ensuring accurate item setup and coding.
- Track inventory KPIs and generate reports for performance monitoring.
- Coordinate warehouse operations, including receiving, inspections, labeling, and documentation.
- Stage materials for maintenance, outages, and capital projects.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Procurement, and Supply Chain to improve inventory strategy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial MRO, warehouse management, maintenance, or supply chain in a plant environment.
- Experience managing spare parts inventory and working with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship).
Skills
- Inventory system organization and master data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of spare parts criticality and inventory optimization.
- Warehouse and material logistics management experience.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and cost control.
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
