Role Description
This dynamic role demands a highly skilled professional with a comprehensive background in network security design and technologies, specifically focusing on IoT-related network access control (NAC). You will support the network access control team, deploying and operating NAC solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and monitor Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to ensure robust security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate network solutions.
- Create detailed network diagrams and documentation.
- Present design solutions to a diverse audience, including technical peers and senior management.
- Develop new operational procedures and run books.
- Work independently to resolve issues with rigorous decision-making and documentation processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams across enterprise networking, computing, end-user computing, and tech risk organizations.
- Participate in on-call rotations for network security platform maintenance, including weekend shifts.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with NAC technologies such as 802.1x, MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB), and TrustSec on products like Cisco Client, Forescout, or Armis.
- Experience with Cisco access switching and wireless platforms, including Cisco Catalyst switches and Wireless LAN controllers (WLC).
- Skills in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, bash/shell scripts) and integration with third-party vendor APIs.
- Expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting networking issues.
- Experience in large-scale network security design and documentation, especially in the financial industry.
- Basic networking knowledge, including networking protocols and TCP/IP.
Desired Skills
- Experience with UNIX/Linux administration.
- Strong design and architecture mindset, including configuration schema design, process re-engineering, and automation.
- Solid knowledge of development practices, such as git/source control and CI/CD.
- Experience with Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Splunk.
- Understanding of east-west micro-segmentation best practices.
- Familiarity with Cisco SD Access and DNA Center.
Required Soft Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills: capable of writing documentation, delivering presentations, and interacting with senior management, colleagues, and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and experience working on enterprise-level projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication, flexibility, self-motivation, and teamwork.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT sector with practical, hands-on experience in network security.
