About the role

Description

Reimagined Parking is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role Human Resources Business Partner. Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, this role is Responsible for providing support to all employees in multiple branches across Canada . This position will provide support and guidance in labor relations, employee relations, separation, staffing and overseeing company programs. The HRBP will be an HR subject matter expert and primary point of contact who leverages relationship building, critical thinking, and sound decision making to drive consistent HR operations. While integrating the latest federal and Provincial regulations, the role

will provide strategic counsel and advisement to hiring managers by spearheading and pioneering employee relations and all employment-related initiatives. In addition, the HRBP will work closely with corporate leadership and field management while fostering positive employee attitudes and morale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as consultant to managers for all labor relations and employee relations matters for region.

  • Act as a resource to business partners regarding compensation and benefits issues; coach management

  • On salary increase recommendations and new hires, promotions, and other staffing changes.

  • Pioneer the investigation of unfair treatment/discrimination charges, harassment complaints, wrongful terminations, wage/hour issues, and other potential legal incidents.

  • Completes any investigations related to escalated employee complaints including rights violations claims and any complaints involving discrimination/harassment.

  • Ensure legal compliance for several HR and employee practices, including, but not limited to: human rights, workplace safety and employment standards.

  • Support CBA negotiations in advance and during bargaining and handle all escalated arbitration issues.

  • Interpret and provide advice/recommendations on collective agreement matters.

  • Monitor and analyze employee turnover and HR metrics to develop appropriate action plans to address identified needs.

  • Interface with business partners to identify effective ways to recognize employees; design strategies to improve overall morale while measuring and assessing employee improvements.

  • Design and support HR policies, programs, and procedures as needed and designated by the HR project plan.

  • Develop tools and resources to coincide with assigned projects.

  • Implementation of HR initiatives or projects after completion.

  • Complete other projects relative to HR as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to multitask and work under multiple deadlines.

  • Strong computer skills required, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Advanced in Excel.

  • Strong ability to work cooperatively with a strong sense of professionalism.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Solutions driven with ability to identify ramifications of decisions and proactively plan to avoid problems.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and external partners.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Bachelors’ Degree (3-4yr) in Human Resources, business administration, or related field.

  • 4+ year HR Generalist experience, multi-province and or union experience preferred.

  • 3+ years' experience working with employment law, compensation, organizational planning,

  • Organizational development, employee relations and health and safety, preferred.

  • CPHR designation is an asset.

  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
